The MSU Open Source Cyber Security Management Solution or MOSeC project, addresses the challenges organizations face in acquiring affordable and adaptable cyber security management solutions. Focused on creating an open-source system incorporating Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) components, particularly the Wazuh SIEM tool, the project aims to enhance real-time visibility and incident response capabilities. The methodology involves retrieving Wazuh logs based on incidents, showcasing them on a database website, and employing Flask for data flow organization. The MOSeC system prioritizes user-friendly interfaces, automation in incident response, and aligns with trends in digital forensics. Evaluation results demonstrate the efficiency of the system's user interface, database, and application integration, offering a promising and accessible cyber security management tool. Continuous vigilance and improvement efforts are recommended for sustained effectiveness. Overall, the MOSeC project stands as a promising open-source solution, providing organizations with a reliable, cost-effective, and customized cyber security management tool.
