Kemahiran pertuturan bahasa Arab masih menjadi cabaran utama dalam kalangan pelajar bukan penutur jati meskipun pengajaran tatabahasa diberikan secara intensif. Pendekatan tradisional yang memisahkan struktur bahasa daripada fungsi komunikatifnya menyebabkan jurang antara pengetahuan nahu dan kecekapan pertuturan terus berlarutan. Sehubungan itu, kajian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengoperasian pendekatan Nahu Wazifi dalam modul pertuturan bahasa Arab lanjutan melalui pelaksanaan sebenar di peringkat pendidikan tinggi. Kajian ini menggunakan reka bentuk pembangunan dan pelaksanaan modul dengan pendekatan kualitatif berpandukan semakan literatur, analisis reka bentuk modul serta tinjauan prestasi pelajar. Modul yang dibangunkan merangkumi tiga konteks komunikasi autentik, iaitu pemberitaan lokasi, perbualan bersama penutur jati Arab dan pengucapan awam, yang setiap satu memetakan struktur nahu kepada fungsi komunikasi sebenar secara progresif. Dapatan kajian memperincikan pemetaan topik nahu kepada fungsi deskriptif, interpersonal dan persuasif, serta menjelaskan bagaimana aktiviti bertahap membolehkan pelajar mengoperasikan struktur bahasa secara kontekstual. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa pengoperasian Nahu Wazifi secara sistematik dapat merapatkan jurang antara pengetahuan tatabahasa dan kompetensi pertuturan, sekali gus menawarkan model pedagogi yang boleh direplikasi dalam pengajaran bahasa Arab lanjutan.
Arabic speaking proficiency remains a major challenge for non-native learners, despite intensive grammar instruction delivered through traditional approaches. However, such methods often fail to help students apply grammatical structures effectively in real-life spoken communication. Accordingly, this study aims to elaborate on the application of the Nahu Wazifi approach—which emphasizes the functional use of grammar in communicative contexts—as a core element in the development of an advanced Arabic speaking module. This study adopts a qualitative, guided by literature review, module design and student’s performance. The module incorporates three types of oral communication activities: live news coverage, conversation with native Arabic speakers, and public speaking. Each activity is structured progressively with grammar topics that function directly within the corresponding communicative situations. The study details the implementation of the Nahu Wazifi approach in the module through the selection of grammar topics aligned with real-world functions, the staged design of activities, and the mapping of grammatical structures to specific oral communication needs. This study shows that the systematic application of the Nahu Wazifi approach helps bridge the gap between grammatical knowledge and speaking competence, while offering a pedagogical model that can be replicated in advanced Arabic language teaching.
