Special Issue: Resilient Housing through Green Buildings
Vol. 31 No. 2Special Issue Editor:
Assoc. Prof. Sr Ts Dr Md Azree Othuman Mydin
Description:
In order to meet the pressing need for sustainable, durable, and flexible living spaces, this special issue looks into the changing terrain of resilient housing via the prism of green building principles. It constitutes innovative building materials and technologies, building pathology, surveying, and automation systems supporting the resilience and sustainability of housing, as well as case studies on these topics. Subjects cover passive design techniques, artificial intelligence in house optimization, building safety and fire safety management, and efficient building maintenance management. This issue seeks to underline multidisciplinary solutions that improve residential buildings' lifetime, productivity, and environmental performance in the face of mounting difficulties, including climate change, urbanization, and resource constraints. We hope the articles published in this special issue will inspire further research, inform policy development, and support the implementation of resilient and sustainable housing practices in housing, building, and planning.
